RAB-12 has arrested one person for raping a disabled person in Tangail. According to RAB, on Wednesday (August 25) at around 3:30 pm on the basis of secret news, RAB-12, CPC-3, Tangail's company commander Lt. The operation was led by Commander Abdullah Al Mamun, (G), BN.


The expedition team conducted the operation in Alokdia area under Sadar police station of Tangail district. Meanwhile, RAB arrested the accused on the charge of raping a 6-year-old disabled girl in a lemon orchard by showing her the temptation of chocolate. He said Alokdia village in Tangail district Sadar upazila. Shafiqul Islam (19), son of Altaf Pramanik.



A regular case has been filed against the arrested accused under the Women and Child Abuse Prevention Act at Tangail Sadar Police Station for the above offense.



The Rapid Action Battalion or RAB is a vigilante force formed to suppress internal terrorism in Bangladesh.


This law enforcement force under the Ministry of Home Affairs was formed on March 26, 2004 and started its activities on April 14 of the same year.
