Israeli airstrikes in Palestine, no casualties have been reported yet

The Israeli-Palestinian crisis ended with a ceasefire between Hamas and Israel on May 21, 2021. The clashes were triggered by protests, police crackdowns, rocket attacks on Israel by Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad, and Israeli airstrikes on Gaza Strip.


 


 


Palestinians began protesting in East Jerusalem on May 8 over the expected Israeli Supreme Court ruling on the eviction of six Palestinian families in Sheikh Jarrah. Under international law, this area connected to Israel is part of the Palestinian territories that are currently occupied by Israel.


 


 


The protests quickly turned into violent clashes between Jewish and Palestinian protesters. On May 7, Israeli police raided the compound of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, the third holiest site in Islam, on Temple Mount, the holiest site in Judaism. Police used tear gas, rubber bullets and stun grenades against the stone-throwing Palestinians.


 


Israeli airstrikes on Palestine again:


Palestinians say the cause of Friday's balloon attack was different. Israeli troops opened fire on the Gaza border. In response, balloon attacks were launched. And the Israeli military says balloons have been fired from Palestine all day yesterday. An air strike was launched in response to this. The attack was carried out on Saturday.


 


 


However, the extent of the damage caused by the Israeli attack is not yet known. No casualties have been reported so far. News Reuters.


 


The Israeli military said in a statement that the airstrikes were aimed at the installations from which the Palestinian Authority, Hamas, fired rockets at Gaza. However, Hamas has not yet commented on the attack.


 


 


Meanwhile, in addition to airstrikes in Palestine, the armed group Hezbollah has to deal with Israeli forces. Hezbollah launched a rocket attack on Israel on Friday.
