One of them was arrested by RAB with heroin worth Tk 20 lakh. According to RAB, on Thursday (September 22) at around 7.45 pm on the basis of secret news, RAB-12's Adjutant and Ops Officer Assistant Superintendent of Police Md. The operation was led by Mostafizur Rahman.



The vigilant expedition team of RAB's Sadar Company took position at Mahishluti Bazar of Naogaon Union 5 under Tarash police station in Sirajganj district. There, on the north side of the Rajshahi-Dhaka-bound highway, SS conducted an anti-drug drive on a paved road in front of the fruit store.



At this time, two hundred and six grams of heroin. A top drug dealer named Abdus Salam (32) was arrested. A truck bearing registration number Dhaka Metro-T-22-2232, a mobile phone used for buying and selling drugs and two thousand rupees in cash were seized from him. He is the son of Naim Uddin of Rehaychar Adarshpara village in Sadar upazila of Chapainawabganj district.



Preliminary interrogation revealed that the drug dealer had been buying and selling illegal narcotics in different areas of Sirajganj district for a long time under the guise of law enforcement agencies.



He was handed over to the Tarash police station in Sirajganj along with the recovered evidence while filing a case against the arrested drug dealer under Section 6 (c) of Table 36 (1) of the Narcotics Control Act, 2016.
